The Sanyo Tahoe by Kyocera - Definitely What You Need

!±8± The Sanyo Tahoe by Kyocera - Definitely What You Need

Martin, my friend who is a marine, just bought for himself the Sanyo Tahoe by Kyocera for .99. Having received adulation from him owing to its unique design that I also doffed my hat to, I had a chance to explore it by virtue of curiosity and I am here to give you the details in person. May I first acknowledge that the phone's bedrock is Sprint, the third largest wireless telecommunications network in the US. We all know that it is the same one behind Verizon wireless and the AT&T mobility. This phone is built on CDMA 1X EV-DO Network Technology and is well endowed with GPS and Java. It has an internal memory of 256MB and a 1GB SD card that comes with it, though it can support SD cards of up to 32GB.

The Sanyo Tahoe model is predesigned for rough usage and helps the user maintain ascendancy over communication without regard to working conditions. It's about an inch thick and you probably won't feel nice having it in your suit's pocket....better in an overall. On the 1 inch external display is a clock whose appearance cannot be changed-it is permanent. When open, you can see the 2 inch QVGA TFT display that can support 240×320 pixels and has customizable features. I was appalled by the lighting power of this display! You don't even need a torch to light up a dark room. The micro SD slot has a tight seal behind which sound level controls protrude. The battery is also wrapped up in a seal to withstand detrimental effects of water if submerged into it- hence can stay under water of up to 1 meter deep for as long as 30 minutes but still be freshly functional after the "bath".

The most disheartening thing about the phone is the slow WAP browser...Imagine it has not yet loaded the yahoo page it had started even before I started typing this review yet I am such a slow typist! And Ouch! 'Request timed out'. Such problems with it are frequent. On the other hand, the call signal quality and sound properties are just massively pretty. It also has GPS and mapping software but the IM, email clients and TV are not preinstalled hence one has to download them from the flood of applications at the Sprint Online Portal. There is nothing that discernible about the camera and camcorder other than the nice image quality. They are just normal with some customizable options. My attention was also caught by the freedom to restrict calls using workplace and family settings. With a password, it would also enable only that person with it to use the browser. In addition to that, the GPS could be locked for tracking purposes.

The lucky market whose needs can be ultimately satiated by this device and the features embodied is that of manual workers like workshop technologists, maintenance personnel, heavy machine and equipment operators. Others include surfers, firefighters, swimmers, Jacuzzi takers....the list is long.
